My New Job

During this chaotic time, it just so happens that I’ve started a new job, thankfully I wasn’t made redundant from my previous role or anything along those lines. Without further ado, I thought it’s best to just state the title & the company, long story short, I’m a software engineer working for Lloyds Bank.

I am honestly quite proud to be working for such an amazing company, just seeing how they’re handling the current crisis, helping Britain survive through this storm. I hope that my career will be a very long & successful one at Lloyds.

I would like to also take the time to state that Admiral is an amazing company to work for, if anyone gets the chance, I’d strongly recommend it. A big part of the reason why I decided to join Lloyds was to try & push myself out of my comfort zone & to progress further as a developer. In addition, while working at Admiral, in my team specifically, there weren’t that many experienced or seasoned developers, so it was odd being the most experienced developer in the team. Considering I only have a handful of years experience myself at this point in time, I just thought it was unusual.

Since some of my new team members have more experience working for the bank than years I’ve been alive at this point in time, I though this could be an excellent opportunity to learn a lot from more seasoned developers & engineers.

Anyway, without rambling on & on, I’ll cut this one quite short, I hope that I serve Lloyds well, I’ll be sure to do all I can to strive for success & I hope that I’m able to be an asset to the group & to my direct colleagues. 🙂
