GitHub UI Update

This will be a very short one, I promise, it’s just a little appreciation for the work that the guys at GitHub have done. I can appreciate that the GitHub UI needs to undergo a lot of quality checks before it can be deployed to the masses, this being one of many reasons as to why the UI for GitHub hasn’t really changed much over the years, but I for one like what they’ve done with their recent change(s).

Sure, it may not be a world apart different, but why fix something if it isn’t broken? Even from a quality perspective, the only negative input I can think of with the older UI is that it was starting to show its age. It still worked flawlessly, so it’s not really a big deal, many web based services use old fashioned styles, but the functionality is flawless.

I discovered this when I was looking at the source code for Jenkins, since I was interested in trying to get involved with contributing in some manner or another. That’s a topic for another time, currently I’m melting alive due to the heat today, so yeah, before I melt, I’m gonna bring this one to a short & abrupt end! 😂

Current GitHub UI.
